Frequently Asked Questions

1. What prompted you to run for Post 3 Commissioner?

-Three Years ago I was fed up with the direction the Republican Party was headed nationally. Spending was out of
control... and conservatives were acting like liberals. I made the decision to get involved in my local community. At
that time, I joined the Paulding County Republican Party and Paulding Right to Life. I even joined the NRA and when
the Tea Parties came along it was a natural fit. I never really was focused on running for office... I just wanted to help
make a difference. I decided to run for Post 3 Commissioner after friends encouraged me to consider the position. Of
course that was a decision I reached after alot of prayer and Godly council.

2. What are the issues you think Paulding Residents in your area are most concerned with?

- Paulding residents have several concerns that impact the quality of Life for themselves, their children, and their
grandchildren. I believe that these issues are:
A. Jobs
B. Lower Taxes
C. Water
D. Public Safety
E. Transportation

3.Where do you stand on these issues?

A. JOBS- With the current climate of this economy, we must work with and provide more opportunities for businesses
to relocate to Paulding which will generate more jobs for our residents. Having more locally based businesses would
also relieve some of the tax burden that is now placed on the residents of Paulding. Unlike other surrounding counties,
Paulding does not have a major highway or interstate within its boundaries. Therefore, we must focus on the assests
we have such as the Airport, Highway 278, and land. These will present us with a unique opportunity to attract and
retain business which will in turn provide local jobs for our residents.

As Commissioner, I would work with other County and State Officials to ensure Paulding County is portrayed and
considered the County of Choice for New Business Opportunities.

B. TAXES- As Commissioner, I will not support a tax increase of any kind. At a time when the average family is
struggling to maintain their fundamental needs and housing values are falling, we cannot place them in a position of
hardship by raising taxes. As Commissioner, I will be committed to working to prevent an increase in our Millage
Rate.

Additionally, I believe it is vital to increase the industry base in Paulding County. We need planned, positive growth
that will relieve some of the tax burden on homeowners.

C. WATER- Water has become a global concern. Paulding County has made limited progress on completion of our
water reservoir, and as Commissioner, I will be committed to completing this project which has already consumed a
lot of our tax dollars. As a county, we cannot continue to rely on other entities to provide us with clean, safe water
without any controls on costs.

D. PUBLIC SAFETY-Public Safety is one of the most critical areas within our county, not to mention that a large
portion of our county funds are dedicated to the Emergency Services provided to our families and businesses.

As Commissioner, I plan to support Sheriff Gulledge and other Leaders to ensure that we provide a high level of safety
and security for our families, and to accomplish this within budget constraints. As Commissioner, I will work with
Public Safety to obtain as much Grant Money as possible to purchase modern equipment which will enable our
enforcement community to utilize the most sophisticated technology available.

E. TRANSPORTATION- Our transportation needs are significant. It only takes one ride down Hwy. 92 from Acworth to
Douglasville to see that we must do everything possible to expand our transportation capabilities. In order for our local
economy to flourish, we must work with State Officials to expedite delivery of those funds necessary to enhance our
transportation needs. In addition to Hwy. 92, we must work to build and design our roads in a manner that will
accommodate the high growth in population, and ensure the highest level of safety for those traveling in our
county. The number of traffic accidents on our highway system supports our need for major reconfiguration.

4. What do you hope to change, keep the same, or do differently while in this position?

- As a commissioner, I will work to bring stabilization within our infrastructure and economy which will allow for the
continuation of growth of new families and new businesses, and retain the sense of pride that our residents and
business leaders have in being a member of the Paulding County community.

5. Do you have any experience working in government? How much? What did you do?

- No, I am not a politician and I have never held a job that has been paid for with taxpayer dollars.

6. What makes you think you are qualified to hold this post and would be successful?

-I have been blessed to have had the opportunity to manage and or own several businesses. After graduating college, I
had an opportunity in the Financial Services industry where I worked as an Independent Rep. In the 1990's, I started a
flooring company and was running several crew while handling the flooring needs for several builders. I also had a
contract with a company that handled fire, water, and storm damage restoration for State Farm Insurance Company.
After several years, I realized that I missed the Financial Services Industry. At that time, I had an opportunity to be the
general manager for a company that designed a program to help people get out of debt. This gave me in debt insight
as to the consequences of debt. Today my wife and I are debt free with the exception of our home mortgage. After 3
years managing this debt management company, I accepted a position as a Compliance Officer for a small Broker
Dealer. After only 5 months in that position I was promoted to President where I served for approximately 4 years. At
that time I started my own company, Kinsman Wealth Educators. All of these opportunities have given me priceless
experience in business management. I believe that this experience and my desire to remain fiscally responsible will
be an asset to the people of Paulding County if I am elected as Commissioner.

7. Why should people vote for you?

-Because I am the best person for the job! I am honest, dependable, trustworthy, and I am not afraid to
stand up for what I believe in.
